Does Guy's Racing like cyclocross? We sure do, road and mountain alike all come together to race fall's hottest contests: MAC, PAC, NJBA, MABRA . . . and we love it ! No shortage of participants here, the long list below of Guy's racers tells the story that cyclocross runs deep among us. The rankings below represent those who participated in the regional events, as some team members have raced frequently and become strong contenders. The Verge Mid-Atlantic Cyclocross Series was the premier event, given its UCI status. Many more Guy's participated; however, MAC Series Points are only awarded to the top class finishers. Guy's Racing as a team proudly finished 7th in a huge field of cross specialists. Big contributors were Guy's one, two punch: Jill Waggett and Karen Tourain finished with gold and silver by topping out the Master Women class. The PA Cyclocross Race Series was new in 2007. Guy's Racing Club hosted the inaugural event: Whirlybird Cross, a huge success as given by the headline news story on our Home page. After six races, Kevin Kralik wins gold in the Men's B, gold again with Karen Tourain in the Women's B, and Mark Featherman taking silver in the highly fought Master Men. Can we say more about Jill Waggett? Oh yea, as she takes home the NJBA Cyclocross Cup! Honorable mention to Dave Lawson, by having our West Coast presence be recognized in the popular SoCalCX Prestige Series. Dave placed Guy's Racing firmly in the ranks among 60 contending teams. Dry summer conditions prevailed as the hard core came to race the site of the first autogiro aircraft flight in the United States, circa 1920s. Our host, Bryn Athyn College provided a beautiful country venue, ideal for cross and easily accessible.
